Roman Burlaka · Author
Good decisions.Costly lessons.
A personal, sometimes ironic and deliberately challenging book about what truly makes us rich — and what doesn’t.
English edition · 2026

The book
What truly makes us rich?
Money? Health? Freedom? Time? Family? Expertise?
Or perhaps the ability to make good decisions — and learn from bad ones? What Makes Us Rich is not a conventional guide to getting rich quickly, achieving success or finding financial freedom. It offers no ten steps to becoming a millionaire and no method that supposedly works for everyone.
Roman Burlaka brings together personal experiences and reflections on work, money, education, risk, luck, crises, reputation and success — questioning some of our most popular life lessons and promises of success along the way.
“I’ve Made Some Mistakes So You Don’t Have To.”
